Tickets are now on sale for Melbourne Design Fair, Australia’s largest presentation of contemporary and twentieth century collectible design, curated by the National Gallery of Victoria and delivered in collaboration with the Melbourne Art Foundation.

Taking place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 18 – 21 May, the Fair will feature work for sale from more than 150 designers across 60+ presentations staged by prominent commercial galleries, design agencies, organisations and studios.

@riveroshan is the artistic practice of Ruben de la Rive Box (Netherlands, 1981) and Golnar Roshan (Australia, 1986). Featured in @gallerysallydancuthbert's summer exhibition, 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘊𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘥 is a continuation of Rive Roshan’s explorations of sweeping through hues of colour on a glass surface. Light that falls onto the tables travels through the glass picking up the different tones, leaving a coloured trail as if time was caught in hues settling down on the surface.

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘊𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘥 was featured in the @NGVmelbourne 2020 exhibition 𝘖𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘴.

Known for his mastery of materials, form, and process, 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 presents a collection focused on re-imagining and transforming not only virgin materials, but the forgotten, the waste and the discarded, into mesmerizingly beautiful, refined designs that respectfully echo place and the materials they are made from.

Congratulations A&A @adamandarthur on receiving the Furniture design of the year for 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 at the @dezeenawards_ 2022

Chosen from over 5,400 entries from 90 countries around the world, the work was a highlight of @ngvmelbourne Melbourne Design Week in March 2022, presented at @tolarno.

@dezeen noted:
“Design duo Adam and Arthur decorated Mother and Child with straw marquetry, a craft technique that uses flattened ribbons of straw to embellish furniture.
